brass hardware?!?
my dad is building me a tack box and we are in the final stages. the only thing we can't seem to find is a large oval brass plate with can have my initials engraved into it. all the ones we have found are too small. im thinking like around 7 x 4 ish...any websites or stores? anybody make these?
If your dad is handy enough to build a box then all you need do is go to your local hardware store or big box store like Lowes and buy a brass door kick plate.Once you get it home draw your oval design onto it and cut it out. You can do this best by using double sided tape to attach it to a piece of scrap plywood then cutting it out. This will keep it from warping on you. Use very little tape and when done get out the hair dryer to warm the plate thus softening the adhesive on the glue making it easier to remove.
